Welcome
We're happy you're here. The house is yours: three bedrooms, a pool, a big terrace and a quiet road above the bay. If anything is missing or broken, message us in the Airbnb app.
Covered, on its own level, open day and night all year. It's only lightly chlorinated. Please keep an eye on children — at the pool and on the inside stairs.
Air conditioning
Five units: every bedroom plus the living areas. Please switch them off when you go out.
Towels
On every bed: two towels for the shower and two for the pool.
Coffee & kitchen
A full kitchen and a Nespresso machine with capsules.
Drinking water
Don't drink from the tap — the house runs on tank water. Bottles are at the 7‑Eleven in Chaloklum.
Projector
Connects by HDMI cable only — bring a laptop or an adapter for your phone.
Power cuts
Chaloklum sometimes loses power for up to two hours. It's the island grid, not the house — it comes back on its own.
Sunrise
You won't see the sunset from the house, but the sunrise is worth an early alarm.
House rules
No parties or events — the neighbours are close and it's a quiet road. Quiet hours from 22:00 to 08:00. Smoking and vaping only on the terrace. Small dogs are welcome; for bigger animals, ask us first.
On the day you leave
Be out by 11:00 — the cleaners come at 11.
Close the windows and lock the door.
Put the key back in the key box to the right of the door, or hand it to the cleaners if they're already here.
Getting around
There's no Grab or Bolt on Koh Phangan, and taxis are expensive. Most guests rent a scooter or a car — and get delivered to the door.
Our neighbours
Two Thai sisters, sign by the parking. Scooters delivered to the house; taxi too. Just message them when you need one — no booking ahead.
Say “Ao Hin Ngam beach, Chaloklum”. The house is on the same street: turn at the sign, it's on the right behind the bamboo fence with lanterns.
To the pier
A taxi from the house to Thong Sala pier is about 700 ฿ for three. Groups of six with luggage need a big taxi‑bus.
On a scooter
Wear a helmet — that's what the police check. The last climb to the house is steep but concrete; scooters and cars make it fine.
Parking
Free, right by the house, no steps up to the door.
Beaches
Times are from the house by scooter or car. Our own beach, Ao Hin Ngam, is 5 minutes on foot but rocky — lovely for a walk, not for swimming.

Chaloklum & Malibu Beach north, the village
Shallow and calm, the best for small kids. Malibu has the softest sand on this side, and there's usually a volleyball game going on.

Haad Khom · Coral Bay
A tiny cove with a reef right off the beach — snorkelling from the sand. Rocky at low tide.

Mae Haad & Koh Ma our favourite
The best snorkelling on the island. At low tide you can walk the sandbar to the little island; snorkel at high tide. Stay for the sunset.

Zen Beach · Sri Thanu Friday sunset
Every Friday people from all over the island gather on the sand for a drum jam — drums, guitars, dancing, sometimes fire shows. Come by 17:30 for a spot and parking; the sun goes down around 18:00. Grasshopper Beach Bar next to it has food and drinks. Calm, shallow water; watch for rocks and sea urchins.

Come for the sunset, not for a swim: the water is shallow, so it's good at high tide and a wide sandbank at low tide. Dinner nearby at L'Alcove or Sati Pot — see Eat.

Haad Salad & Haad Yao west coast
Easy, calm water, good with kids. Haad Yao has proper sunsets.

Haad Rin south-east
A kilometre of fine white sand and clear water on the Sunrise side, with longtail boats pulled up on the beach. The other side of the headland, Haad Rin Nai, faces the sunset.
Eat

Climb the steps for a view over the whole bay. 40 ฿, open 8:00–17:00.

Shopping
7‑Eleven with an ATM in Chaloklum; fruit and vegetables at the village stalls. The big supermarkets — Lotus's and Makro — are in Thong Sala, about 25 minutes. A fan, if you want one, is sold at Lotus's and Big C.

Bottle Beach
Longtail boat from Chaloklum pier (or a 1–2 hour jungle trail). Remote and quiet — just swimming and doing nothing.

Thong Nai Pan Noi north-east
One of the most beautiful bays on the island. The road is hilly — go by car if you're not confident on a scooter.
Full Moon Party
Once a month at Haad Rin, about 50 minutes away. The party stays on that beach — parties at the villa are still not allowed. Taxis home at night are scarce and expensive, so sort out your ride first, and please don't take a scooter after drinking. Fluorescent paint doesn't wash out of sheets or towels: rinse it off at the outdoor shower before you come inside.
